Oct 22nd
I woke up at 7 and was pretty tired but I pulled myself out of bed so I could go to work, in the gym, It was a pretty good shift I first had it with Vivian who is sweet and fun to talk to. Basically we chilled, we did do our switch for a couple of the half hours so that was good. There's this faculty member who is like a giant, and filled out well, who seems very dedicated to the gym. Anyways he sweats like nothing I have ever seen, but is a really nice guy I'm sure, but so Vivian and I take turns cleaning up his sweat. Although she did it last time she offered to clean it again. I usually just grab two rags, for both my hands, and soak it in the spray to clean. She is a great worker she will go get the mop to clean it up. It's interesting that he doesn't clean up his sweat or bring extra towels to lay down on either side of the machine so that it can just soak it up. Anyways so I finished off some off the delicious coconut cake from last night it is pretty heavenly how delicious it is. My co-worker Lindsey, who I worked with last night, suggested that I save the rest of the cake for my next shift and cover it first in these paper towels and then a (clean) garbage sack. So I did that and it was great. Anyways I spotted someone (as In they ask me to stand behind them while they lift weights to insure that they are safe) but it was a different type I hadn't done before so I may have to ask what I'm supposed to do with that. Anyways so then Vivian got off work at 9:20 so I was by myself for about 40 minutes and I just started doing little things to pass the time. Such as, there's this interesting type of weight (used for ab work outs) and I just practiced curling it. It was 20 pounds which I need to get better at doing, hey but I can easily move the 45 pounders around so that's good. The only thing is I want to get stronger so that If I spot someone benching more then a hundred pounds I want to be confident that if they really did need help that I could assist them safely. Anyways so then after a while Brandon Janusz came in, (he is really great gives advice to me, so kind of like an older brother, and he is married so he has had experiences and everything). Anyway so then we talked, then he spotted for people then I went in the weight room for a while it was a pretty chill day. Then I asked him to time me to see how long I could keep one of my legs slightly elevated I lasted about about 2 minutes the longest time. It's actually really difficult kind of like doing squats on the wall. Oh like I sat on the counter which was in a "U" shape so my feet were on the opposite side so it really worked out my legs haha. Well ya so that was work, I worked about 6 hours, then while riding my bike home it started pouring rain. So I parked my bike by the BYUh ballroom under shelter. I saw a guy moving a ton of chairs from one side of the room to the other so I went and offered/helped him. It was nice we talked for a little, he seemed very nice, and he thanked me a lot which was nice. Then I rode my bike home, oh and we had some visitors who are a really nice young couple, then I showered. Then my friend texted me asking if I wanted to go to the beach withsome other friends. So then I got ready for the beach, he came but Rachel said she would probably meet us there so it was Kevin driving, me in the passanger seat and Kuan Yew in the back so like I wasn't sure if it was kind of a double date or not. Anyways I found out that Kevin knew Rachel more so that's cool but like I just had fun and didn't worry about if I was supposed to stick by a certain person or not. Mainly because, they didn't specify that it was a date so like it was just a fun hang out. Anyways we went to pounders beach with our boogie boards, Rachel didn't show up there but it was fun with Kuan-Yew and Kevin, anyways I used a boogie board for a while but then put it on shore when they leash came off to try not to get pounded ha ha. The beach was really great felt very nice, the sky was pinkish and blue fading from a far distant sunset. Then we went to taco bell and pizza hut, it was really great Kevin had bought these awesome coupons, a coupon book for only five dollars, and we bought like a whole meal for the 3 of us. It was really nice, I love that I didn't have to pay for anything, also that I didn't feel bad that it was expensive or anything. I shivered a bunch but that's okay. I actually saw a lot of guys I knew walking around that area so that was cool, also I saw my co-worker Marie and had a short chat. She mentioned that I looked very happy, I had been bummed the night before while at work. Also Kevin and Kuan Yew said they didn't even go to the tennis club so it was a good thing I didn't show up. Anyways then we saw some guy friends of ours Taylor and Brandon. Taylor tried to talk us out of going to Goat Island because it was 7pm and it'd be dangerous at night, it would be hard to find and things like that. Basically we said we were going anyways even though it was dark. So we showed up at the beach and met up with Rachel and a friend she brought named Carly. Anyways so I wasn't sure if I should bring slippers or not but Kuan Yew said I should just to be safe. So then it was super low tide, clear and warm water, and we were able to find the spot where we should head out. Like I was super sure that we were at the spot where we should swim out but then Kuan Yew asked some people to see their GPS and turned out I was wayy wrong. Anways so while walking out there it started going really fast because most of us had shoes, and water proof flashights. But then Kuan Yew didn't have shoes so I just chose to float around on the way there slowly in the group. Which was an awesome experience with the stars shinning brightly. (saving this in case the computer shuts down).
