1st sunday in YSA ward

So I am in this new Young Single Adult ward (well I have been since I moved here about a month ago), this is a ward combined of people my own age , so its been pretty great starting fresh and doing my best to meet people in this new ward. Well anyways the first time I went to go to church I was very nervous and excited I had waited for a week worrying about this new ward in which I knew no one. So since I was told church was at 11am I made sure I was there early, but my family's ward is at 9am, so that meant my mom left church for about an hour (usually church is made of 3 sections so it is 3 hours- Sacrament meeting, a sunday school class, and then Relief society for the women and Elders Quorum for the guys) anyways so my mom was very sweet to drive me and I ended up getting there at around 10:30 so I was really early. Then I started talking to this girl (I was hoping she was in my ward) and it turns out that my church time was at 9am! So instead of being really early I was veryy late! Haha, so anyways there was only about an hour left at that point (or less). So she brought me to the class I was supposed to go to and it was filled up! So I bravely walked in (I say bravely because the door she led me to faced all the people, so I walked in where everyone could see me). There seemed to be no seats so I walked straight on through, then I didn't know what to do so I went and sat down on a random chair and waited for someone to ask me if I needed help. And I waited, and waited, and waited. Then I started feeling a little emotional because I had been so excited and now I didn't know what to do and I was alone missing church. Then I silently prayed that someone would talk to me and Right at that Very moment this lady walked past me, turned around and asked me if I needed help. So then she just said I could go to her ward with her and so that's what I did. It was a very interesting experience because it made me want to be more aware of the needs of others. To make sure that I make people feel welcome. So I hope that I will be able to help others the way she helped me when I needed it.
