Quite Interesting

Well I've noticed that my skills at spelling have been diminishing at a surprisingly quick rate, no joke, with words that are supposedly super easy.  I blame it on my excessive amount of texting over the past year. Yesterday I was struggling over the word "flood", it sounds very pitiful but in my defense the spelling "flud" could seriously work over a text and would be completely understandable. Plus, if there was a flash flood would you really spend the extra minute to spell it correctly? Probably not. And on that note, if your hiking in the mountains and a flash flood is coming, you would quickly warn your parents by texting them. And if you happened to make a mistake and say "HELP, there's a flash flud!!!! Save me!!!!" I'm pretty sure your parents wouldn't decide at that moment to be spiteful and ignore your plea on the basis of incorrect spelling. Also when your writing a paper there is always spell check. Now if everyone were required to have perfect spelling then why one earth would there be spell check. In a way it's giving the world the impression that "Hey its okay to not know how to spell, because you can always correct it on the computer." I'd also like to make the point that I'm kidding and I like being able to spell words correctly, it creates a feeling of accomplishment. Which is why I should start using proper grammar while texting, which I happened to notice a certain guy friend of mine has the tendency to do. Which is the honest reason I'm going to work on my spelling. Just to make That point clear
