Time and distance

These two concepts blow me away slightly. I guess it has something to do with living quite a distance away from where you truelly want to be. But which is more difficult to deal with? It kind of reminds me of this silly commercial I saw (and loved) so this man gets attacked by a squirrel and rushes to the hostpital
" I need immediate help!!!" The man cries out to a nurse, who in turn sweetly replies
"Of course! We can help you......In 28 days." What?! That may in some cases be a short period of time but in the circumstances its ridiculous! Can you imagine waiting 28 days? Let's just say 27, since that's my new favorite number. If you don't know why this is then that's slightly sad. Anyways the concept of 27 days is endurable if your waiting 27 days for a haircut your dreading, ya sure add a couple more days on there. But on the other hand can you imagine waiting 27 days when you have a cavity? Of course most people actually probably can. Because we wait as long as physically possible to endure the pain. Why? You might ask? Well because who really wants to admit that they have a cavity. There is a part of you that believes that if you brush enough you can permentally postpone the dentist appointment. Or so I've tried. Warning to you, it doesn't work. Now let's think about 2 minutes, that's not that long right? Wrong. It's all perspective. If you don't believe me try to hold your breath for two minutes. No. Please don't do that, just take my word for it. I guess in my case doing a certain so-called "warm-up" drill for tennis. Ya sure go sit on the fence for two minutes no biggy. Ha. Good one Coach. But I guess spending time on achieving something makes you want it more. Like passing a test. How often do you get thrilled while acing a simple test? Not very often. Why is this? It's the same grade isn't it? Well although this is true, you just can't help but feel accomplished when you receive your 5 page in class essay back, and slowly turn each page remembering the struggle. And Lo and behold you've received a B!!!! Fantastic! You nearly jump in the air with glee. Course don't be too happy until you are sure your friends got decent grades as well or they'd just be rude. But obviously it says something when your more excited about a B in a tough class then an A in art class. Sure ya show up and draw. Absolutely love it but really it's not that stressful. So why can't I study in art for my a.p class? Who knows. Now after spending quite a few minutes of my Time talking about time. I'd now like to write a short essay about distance.
It'd be nice if our wonderful ocean wasn't quite so vast, causing people to live quite so far away. Specific individuals that is.
WHY is wonderful spelt with only one "L" it doesn't make sense! Shouldn't you be Full of Wonder? Therefore creating the word Wonder Full? What happened to the other "l"?

  1. Good points.
I agree that it would be nice if our ocean wouldn't be so vast. But have you ever thought about that distance makes the heart fonder? I think it's also good and wonderful in a different perspective that we are spread out even with our close ones because when we meet them again, the relationship will be of more value :)

  2. Ya I thought about the distance thing but it sure is tough expecially if it makes you wait 6 months to see someone. Or actually 2 1/2 years
