Unexpected experience

First of all I'd like to say how excessively happy I was after finding my textbook. Apparently no one stole it. Who'd have guessed. Well anyways that's besides the point, I was simply rather pleased when I found my textbook. There comes a point in your life when you get tired of failing a class, and I had more then exceeded that point. Well Luckily by some miracle my report card displayed a cute little B, so I guess I wasn't failing as much as I assumed. Anyways I guess thanks to this fear of failing for two weeks when I lacked my textbook I made a silly promise to study like non other if I do find my book by some amazing blessing. Therefore I stayed up till 11:30 last night trying to fulfill my side of the bargain. Morale of the story be careful what you promise. ;) No. Actually I was more then happy to be able to study, it was relieving if nothing else. Okay so quite a week its been. I guess it started on sunday. I took a nap like any other sunday. Usually I am able to take at least a 2 hour nap but I knew Id only sleep for a short amount of time because I had choir practice at 4pm. Then at 4:30pm I woke up and was slightly taken aback. I assumed my mom merely just relized how tired I was and let me keep sleeping. Ha. I should've been more skeptical. I walk into the kitchen for a cookie and my mom's friend (Aunt Katrina) knocked on the door. Now this second circumstance didn't even make me blink, it seemed normal. I ignored the hints. So I went about my excursion and was eating a cookie thoughtfully listening to my mom's conversation, zoning out slightly when the real first sign of warning came. They were talking about a plane ride. What plane ride? That can't be good news. Long story short it wasn't. My mom quietly informed me that my grandpa was very sick and would probably not live much longer and that my parents were leaving that same night and would be gone for a week. Wow. That was a lot to take in.
So this week has been rather hectic. It was as if I had already gotten my M.R.S degree. With laundry, homework, being in charge, doing dishes, cleaning the house, setting up bedtimes, helping with meals, giving sage bath's, and all. I really honestly couldn't have done it without so much support though. We caught rides to school from some neighborhood friends, sage was taken care of during the day, dinner was brought to us three times already, general care from people (such as awesome cookies from Christina) and especially the two amazing college students staying with us. These two girls have helped so much especially with breakfast since I need to go to seminary and wouldn't be able to wake up the kids when they needed to get up. So ya they are the bomb. Oh and a small brb the other day I was tired not depressed, there is a difference. lol.
