I really hope I can skype my family sometime soon. My web cam really isn't doing so hot right now. In my English class we had read a book that was about this older guy that was dying. It was really interesting because he didn't give up on life but instead he enjoyed the last moments he had with his family and friends. So then in class our teacher Brother Grant had us all imagine that we only had a few moments to live and he had us write a letter to our families or someone we cared about. It really touched me because I really love my family so much and I am so grateful for them and all the growing experiences I have had with them. So I just thought Id take a moment and write a little about each individual member of my family so that hopefully one day I will be able to look back on this or that they could and know how much I love and appreciate them.
Therefore as a forewarning the rest of this post Will be about them I believe.
Starting with my father, (and I'm just going to write random facts and details that pop into my mind, so they aren't in order of importance). I love my fathers calmness, he also seems to be calm about random issues that come up. He was always saying, when my siblings and I were young, that we should always step back away from a problem or an issue with life or our siblings and realize that some petty problems really don't matter. I appreciate that my father has chosen to live a worthy life so that he can give me a priesthood blessing when I am sick. Not only that but he is always willing and desirous to help me in this manner. My father has made it a tradition to give father's blessings at the beginning of each school year which is wonderful because starting a new year can be stressful and tough but he gives us blessings so that we can feel comforted and loved. I really hope I can find someone like my father. He is also really good at sports, nearly any athletic activity I've seen him do excessively well. So he surfs so he is a strong swimmer, he is intensely good at tennis so now my whole family plays and feels secure in this talent, he is great at soccer so at ward camp he always joined in the large game, basically he excels at everything I've seen him do athletically such as hiking, tennis, volleyball, swimming, golf, bowling, ping-pong, basically you name it he can do it. So that's pretty great because we always have fun family activities like going to the beach, tennis or camping. Anyways my father also has a pretty great sense of humor and on top of that he is a hard worker.
Hey well my dorm is having prayer (perkins prayer). So Iv'e got to go.
