Well so I learned a valuable lesson today: Do not ask for taco's on the 4th of July.
Sounds like an innocent request but apparently it is inappropriate to ask for, long story short because its not
extremely american. Well, I forgive myself because its a simple mistake.
Anyways today was a good fourth of July,
my sister practiced her skills in nail painting and I kindly allowed her to borrow my fingernails (or something along those lines haha) I should take a picture, hm....
too bad my camera recently broke, I can't possibly understand why seeing as all I did was allow my 4 year old sister to play with it. Hm, what couldve gone wrong? Beats me.
My fam and I loaded out bikes into our north shore cruiser (mean green fighting machine: a.k.a green truck)
all dressed in patriotic colors and rode our bikes along the sunset bike path.
There was an intense paddle boarding race going on, seriously there were a bunch of people. Slow progress, it seemed. But we only mainly saw the end of the race so that was nice. Grabbed some donuts from teds bakery then biked back in the other direction towards the sunset foodland.
An old man complimented us on our bike gang: "Oh gosh, Look out its the biking family!" Ya that's right, wheres our tip? :) After grabbing our Gatorade's (mine was blue of course) we picked a shady spot across from foodland. A man informed us that "blue angels, and Japanese planes" would be coming along and if he started "jumping up and waving his arms like a monkey" then we would know to watch the sky's. How sweet of him to keep us in the loop.
So later figuring out that we hadnt brought a board game along (go figure) we decided to play a sophisticated game (M.A.S.H) cool thing is my mother suggested it ( we are rubbing off on her). Well, I will have 6 kids, live in a house, honeymoon in Europe, and be married to this one guy (don't worry about it, I will tell you who won in about 6 years maybe). Or 3. :)
We returned to sunset elementary to collect our bikes, my mom had a goal of getting 100 serves in, I being the supportive daughter that I am pleaded with her to shoot for a more attainable goal such as 20. So she relented and told me to get ready and return all 100 of them. Haha. Well, I was a good sport for the first 50 then switched off with my sister. I believe that's the true reason to have a lot of siblings. It's actually rather useful, if one sister isn't willing to grab a cookie for you just keep asking down the line until one of them gives in to your helplessness. The other day my 4 year old sister Olive Tessa Sage Kapua LaHaole Kimball (Sage) asked me to please turn on a movie for her. Well I was laying on the couch (clearly very occupied with keeping it warm) so I kindly suggested that she ask Sheridan (other sister). To which she replied : "but Kelsey (more like "Telseeeeee") why can't you do it? You're my big sister" *cute face* "I loveee you!"
Did not see That coming. There are just some things you can't hardly say no to. And yes that's one of them.
