So basically besides some sparklers I didn't see any fireworks. I'm not complaining or anything I'm just stating a fact. Because although my family hasn't set off our own fireworks since
my brother left for college I still love to watch firework shows. So it was a little bit of a let down. But other then that my fourth of July was superb. Not a word I use casually so you know it must have
been quite amazing. Mainly we had a barbecue with my mom's best friends family over. They have 4 of the sweetest girls ever, trust me they are the best to babysit. I more or less was wanting to
hold the baby Katelyn the entire night. Morale of the story if you want something just snag it. That's right. Pretty much not only did we have a delicious meal including Terri burgers that taste like a slice of heaven, but we also had all the other exciting components of a barbecue. I'd list them all but then you'd just get jealous and that wouldn't be very fair of me. So being the nice person that I am I will just mention that it was a meal I didn't want to fill up on.
pretty much I was investing in later becoming a chubby person. Of course there is nothing wrong with that. Just saying.
I figure I should practice writing letters because pretty soon I'm going to have to step it up and send my brother more updates on my life as well as my other pre-mi (almost missionary's) friends who will soon be in the mission field.
I do love writing letters but its slightly difficult to keep writing every week when my older brother has written me only 3 times his entire mission. Which is fine because I do read his weekly letters to my mom/family and
they are quite extensive, just never directed towards me.
I don't really have much to say about the missing fireworks other then it felt very anti-climatic, and foreign, which is pretty sad since this was my last 4th of July in Hawaii for a while I believe. I did stay up until past midnight watching patriotic movies so in a way that was a nice extra celebration.
*Little side note don't throw a phone to Sheridan unless she has both hands free, or at least isn't eating ice cream at that exact moment, luckily it wasn't my phone so its all good.
Honestly Id rather talk about my day, so this morning I jumped out of bed super early (9am) because I heard someone talking to my dad and was frantic thinking that my friend had come over already to go to the beach and I was
absolutely not ready, luckily there is a mirror in my room which validated that my bed head hair was not too shabby. I was wearing the same shirt I wore to bed/ the day before (no this doesn't usually happen) but in my defense I showered before the barbecue and didn't actually fall asleep till about 2am so I pretty much slept in my clothes. Anyways luckily I had a random shirt on my bed so I threw that on so it'd be tougher to recognize that I just woke up. Anyways I rushed to brush my teeth and wash my face and turns out the person in my home was not my friend. Good thing. I mean I like when people are spontaneous but not before 10 am. Ironically someone texted me and asked if I was a morning person- Course I am.... Actually I'm rather good at waking up early as long as I have at least 20 minutes to get ready then I'm perfectly happy being awake early. After all I did have early morning seminary so I am more then capable of waking up at 5:40 but If I don't need to Id rather not. Unless its for something important like hanging out with a friend, or seminary (which I'm done with) or... well that's about it. I really do like when people are spontaneous and I like just jumping up and leaving the house with a 5 minute warning, to the beach, or a hike or game room. (as examples). I guess mainly because its exciting to be able to be reliable.
Anyways, I ended up going to the beach around 11am which was a nice time to go, it was two of my sisters, my younger brother and a friend of our family Michael Watkins, anyways I made sure that I put on a lot of sunscreen so when we got there Laramie and Spencer quickly jumped into the water while Sheridan and I waited a little while Michael put on sunscreen yes I know he should haveshould have won. Laramie. JK. But she is good for a little girl. We then played some dice games and then Mike went to work. Now I'm writing this blog after being a nice sister and making a sand which for Sage. But that was basically my day, we were going to go into town but that didn't really work out so we are going tomorrow to shop for food for ward camp so that will be Quite a long trip, hopefully i will get some more jeans as well.
Well time sure is going to speed up, this week friday ward camp starts and then after that the next week I will go to a college ward (church) then school starts, and that will seriously make the weeks fly by.
