In tune

Honestly yesterday I was a little bit nervous as I may have mentioned ;) so I was walking up to campus (purposely about 30 minutes late because of anxiety) but once I got there I more or less completely relaxed because as soon as I was slowly walking past this lady that knew me called out to me to come over if I was a new student. Immediately a volunteer college student told me the activity we were playing which was "do you love your neighbor" and I was put into a group.
Basically it was fun met some great people, some I talked to more then others just because I seemed to connect with them more, for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to spell any of their last names when I got home but luckily my friend Christina Hubner told me to look them up in our college directory to see the spelling of their last name (would show a list of people and from there I knew which one I was searching for). So honestly I did talk to quite a few people and so it was really nice. I met a return missionary named Max and really it blew my mind that my older brother Cody was basically his age, like I grew up my whole life thinking return missionaries were much older and now (they are still older) but not by alot. Anyways he was very nice to talk to I think we might have a social dance class together in the fall that should be fun. Also with a couple of my awesome guy friends leaving on missions I'm going to miss them big time. It will be hard not getting to see my friend Dylan once every three months randomly ha ha but he will be a great missionary I'm sure, Florida is very lucky to be getting Elder Tenney. He better reply to my letters.
Today I went to my first church meeting and I was very blessed because people just seemed very aware that I was new and uncertain and they went out of their way to sit by me (Cathy) or show me my class and sit by me (Meghan) and just small things like handing me pens and asking me when I start school. So they may have seen it as random small acts but to me it was a big answer to prayer because it made me feel welcomed and loved. I also had my interview with the bishop so I will be interested to see which calling he gives me, I told him I wasn't very musically inclined but I did sing in the church choir and wasn't tone deaf, mainly just that I hadn't exercised my piano talent very well yet. I hope he doesn't think that just cause my mom is very good at the organ and piano that I naturally am too because that is not the case at all. I do my best though, I have slacked at practicing so its understandable.
Anyways I do like my ward, there is a fireside tonight im going to so I hope that will be good :)
